handy cupboard healthcare

I've come across some really handy and natural health care tips that are tried and tested, and I thought it'd be nice to pass them on.
My favourites are:

50ml of olive oil heated up so it is lukewarm to the touch,
then rub the oil into your hair all the way from the roots to the tips, (into dry hair),
if you wish to even out the oil, pull a comb through the knots and it will even out the oil
simultaneously. After you are done twist your hair up in a towel and leave for 1/2 an hour,
it really doesn't matter how long you leave the oil in your hair, you can leave it in for hours if you
prefer. Next shower and shampoo your hair, twice, or even three times, just to make sure you get all
of the oil out, no need for conditioner, towel dry, and let dry naturally, and your hair turns out beautifully.

Put 1 tsp of bicarbonate soda into half a glass of water, wirl it around until the soda has dissolved,
then dip your toothbrush into the water, give it a swirl, and then proceed to brush your teeth, it tastes a bit salty, but not disgusting at all I promise! And it has the added benefit of getting rid of any stains on your teeth, whilst cleaning them too. Natural, cheap, effective!

If you've run out of moisturizer or you prefer something more natural, you can either use the pulp of an avocado or the avocado skin. Either way rub the skin/pulp against your face, or wherever you need moisturizing until it is all gone. I prefer using the skin on the face, and the pulp for the hands, or elbows, or knees etc. It works a charm, and there's no added nasty chemicals to react to!

As is well known Cleopatra used to bathe in warm milk almost daily, and this worked wonders for her skin. Today it has been proven that milk has cleansing properties, and also neutralizes the skin. Not only that but it works as a light moisturizer for normal skin, or any type of skin in my opinion. You can bathe in it, (I prefer milk that has gone out of date, works just as well, and you don't feel like you are wasting it!), or you can bring a little bowl of it into the bathroom and just wash your face with it. Your skin feels lovely and cool and refreshed afterwards.

Now there are plenty of other amazing tricks out there, and I'll put the links up here where I have learned these tricks, and there are plenty more for you to explore!
