my father

my grandfathers [morfar, farfar]

my teachers [encompassing every type]

i find inspiration in the commonplace.
not because i'm in love with someone. but because i'm in love with the world.
call it mother nature. nature supplies us with all we need. it has a natural process which guides us through a cycle.
i see mother nature, a very natural grounded thing, in all people.
here's a list of what i call mother nature:
craftmanship
symbols [words, pictures, colours, people]
hands
fingers
toes
feet
legs
arms
faces
hair
traditions [passed down by communication]
rules [passed down by communication]
basic priorities (family, friends, happiness)
scientific methods (encompassing all kinds, sociological, geographical, ideological, musical, artistic [interesting the only one with a previously explained ending], pure mathematical, and the purest form philosophical) i.e. doctorate of philosophy (phD)

the label for science in swedish is literally 'natur vetenskap' however the shortened version is NO =natur orienterad ämnen
natur quite simply means nature. vetenskap is any kind of grasp of something taught. kunskap is the final knowledge. kunna meaning to know. ämnen means subject. and orienterad is simply being oriented towards something.
so science as a subject in sweden, is any kind of grasp of something oriented towards nature.
interesting how meaning gets lost in translation when you just use the two words.
however with an explanation the full meaning can be found.

so, mother nature is in the every day.
i once attended a museum exhibition as an excursion in sweden titled god has 99 names.
my jaw dropped, my eyes boggled. i couldn't understand. but someone explained that god is in everything, so then there must be a different name for god in everything.
remember i use 'god' only as a familiar symbol for something commonly sought out across the world.

people just go, but what does she believe in then? well its not just science. its not just lutheran christianity. its not just buddhism. or judaism. or islam. or taoism. or the norse gods. or the greek gods. it is all of them and none of them at once.
it is humanity.
