the lady doth protest too much.
a great quote by a master wordsmith.
william shakespeare himself.
now interesting that many people over-react to things which disturb them,
yelling, scathing insults and looks, and so on.
people also repeat what they say, especially if they don't feel listened to,
sometimes it is a cultural language style, other times it is simply
frustration at a perception of misunderstanding.
you see i could act in such a way that someone would perceive me to be
insane.
i could act in such a way that people would perceive me as cute.
i could act in such a way that people would think i was grieving hugely over something.
and i could act in such a way that people would assume i was doing fine.
i enjoy the idea of a chameleon because it adapts itself to its surroundings.
i seem to adapt to people's expectations i.e. my social surroundings.
i can hide great pain and heart ache. i can stifle hilarious laughter, and i can
bite my tongue when need be. it may not seem the case, especially since i have such a big mouth
which i use to stick my foot into sometimes, and also to never stop talking... seemingly.
but if there are two sides to every coin, and six sides to every die, then there are
360 sides to each longitudinal and latitudinal degree of the earth, and each person lives on
their own planet. therefore each person has 360 sides to their own planet, called the human spirit and
everything that encompasses.
anyhow, many people find me irritating, this is because they see in me something very similar to themselves,
sometimes it can be attractive because it seems like an opportunity for close friendship, other times it can
be extremely frustrating because those who are your mirror image will frustrate you beyond the meaning of that
word. so people see parts of themselves in me, like a section within a broken mirror that reflects a small part of your face, and thus they get irritated by themselves manifesting in me. funny isn't it?
moving on. over-protestation.
the gist of shakespeare's quote is that those who protest too much, clearly have something to hide.
i believe that those who protest and argue too strongly and stubbornly, and absolutely will not back down to
any challenge, i believe this kind of perception is due to a large misunderstanding of perception.
it happens to me all the time. i cannot understand why people do not see things my way some times, until
a close friend or family member explains what they mean. then i back down. i realize. and i accept.
life is not an endless war between two goats butting heads.
its a long and winding path through a labrynth with multiple variables and companions to come across
along the way.
it could also be a simple walk down the river.
however many people choose the labrynth. don't ask me why.
