so. i was wondering why these ideas were coming to me.
i watched the news.
I GET IT NOW! C:
my aunty once explained to me that women run in time with the moon's cycle.
logically we can connect this to the moon cycle of months.
however creatively, we can connect this to the symbol of a moon, the effect of a moon.
the moon is something far away. unreachable. unknown. mysterious. its light, at its fullest,
covers the night time in a magical silver glow. everything appears somehow simply mysterious.
now have not many of our traditional stories portrayed women as princesses sitting in high towers?
something to be protected. something strange. something totally confusing. men are just bewildered by women.
but only because this confusion has been created. by a whole crapload of silly stories.
haven't you ever heard the song by angus and julia stone: hollywood?
you have wealth of knowledge about women. you have been living with them all your life.
if not, you have come across women in your lifetime i am sure.
depending on whether or not your women were positive or negative role models,
you may perceive women as either evil or angel. as the common western perception goes.
two opposite energies. good. bad.
I as a woman do My Best to do Good. no one person is perfect. its impossible. COME ON! its not
fair to just expect perfection. i am human. not a robot. i screw up. i could use more common language
but some would be offended, cos i screw up seriously sometimes. maybe here you go, i fudge it up
real bad. blame myself. but then i step back. positive thoughts. i create something good.
in most religions there is something creating good, and something destroying good.
i've learnt about a cycle. creation. sustaining. destruction. very natural. causing rebirth.
i believe the female energy underlies everything. the male energy walks upon earth in everyone.
i mean you could switch it around. but heres my logic.
women create humans. women create a home. women create a classroom.
women initiate a relationship, most commonly. women in an underlying way, create.
both women and men sustain. the label of man or woman separates these energies,
but every human has a balance of good or bad, male or female. these symbols
encompass so many things. so men just as much as women can create.
they can also have the creative energy of women in them.
i don't fight for women. i fight for humans.
if you wish to see me as a warrior, that is what i fight for.
balance everywhere. between all energies.
but my form of fight does not involve violence.
i have learnt the power of words.
the power of calm.
now the third. destruction. i don't label this anything. it is what it is. a natural ending.
but in every door closed, a new door opens.
in every step lost, a new path arrives.
destruction is a very very painful thing.
it can be horrific. terrible. a nightmare.
but i don't see it this way.
i see it as an opportunity not to be missed.
here is how i see humanity. here is how i see life.
baby-neanderthal
childhood-possibly the dark ages, without knowledge (up until the 1500s) just as potentially a royal age, with spoils galore.
teenagers-rennaissance, rebirth, redirection.
adulthood- a seeping into a confusing politically controlled world.
ageing- a reverse return back through every stage. back towards creation.
i see wrinkles as a map of your life. scars as a map of who you are. both physical and mental.
something beautiful. well i convince myself. (: and that they are something to be learned from.
of course you are not babies, or children, or teenagers, or old people, i am not judging you.
they are symbols. all people are at different stages. different places, and times.
i am grounded in female heroes. female strength. not only this but my name, my own label has formed me.
i am Britta. the norse meaning of strength. my friend felicity is the french meaning of happiness.
pippy long stockings had red hair. she was a character created by a female.
she was the strongest child in the world. she was very clever. but she had no parents.
her father was a pirate out at sea. and her mother was somewhere. . . up there? as she looks to the sky.
she had a pet monkey, quite a helpful monkey, but very cheeky, she had a pet horse as big as an average
horse, and she could lift it with her bare hands. at the age of what 6? 7?
she lived in this house with really crazy colourful combinations. she wore clothes that had no matching combination.
opposite socks. she had two plaits that stuck out. and she herself was quite playful, but a very good person.
helping others. she had two neighbours, boy and girl, who became friends. they were very normal. but they learnt from her.
this story has been translated across the world. by someone named Astrid Lindgren. she created a prize via her will. i respect her memory.
anyhow. thats just pippi longstockings. i had parents. very good parents. who guided me through all the symbols in this world.
parental guidance PG is there for a reason.
i explain my view of the world. in politics.
there can be a teamwork of both economic and societal.
you can work together to make a centre.
you may view yourselves as opposite teams working for different ways.
you have both explained your ways of doing things.
i think creation of society is a very good thing.
economic balance is also good.
interesting that julia gillard has very good economical knowledge.
very practical. however so does tony abbott.
one may believe one is better than the other.
i do not label.
this may be viewed as a competition.
but what about the team work?
it may take a long while to sit down and discuss.
with every one there. to find the common dreams
between two 'teams'. the common intention.
but be mature. don't judge. don't yell.
or fight.
or play unfairly, by labelling. be calm.
explain. work towards a fair world.
a balanced world.
find the common centre.
work towards balance.
i leave the rest up to people.
try always to be positive. do positive. think positive.
create. sustain. destroy.
create good things. sustain good things. destroy bad things.
with the people in mind.
set aside the honour and pride connected to one person.
form yourself into an overseeing guidance. working towards
what is good for the people.
as a team.
(the thinking hats, different colours, blue, red, green, white, yellow)
i forget who wrote it. my father knows his name. but it is a book written
by somebody famous. with a theory. it is where the words
'put on your thinking hat' come from.
read it. learn. do.
i watched the news.
